A closer look at Bootsman
In order to continually optimise our manufacturing processes, we pursue intensive co-operation and consultation with all relevant partners in our industry. This results in cost savings and a reduction of carbon-dioxide emissions. In order to guarantee both, we use a few pillars of operational excellence. Firstly, we provide our clients with a high level of service. Secondly, as a sustainable manufacturer of slide bearings we are always looking for custom-made solutions for you, the environment and mankind. Our added value is providing sustainable custom-made solutions.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The three Ps, Planet, People and Profit are the three main areas on which our model of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is based. A family business, Bootsman has been active in the metal processing industry since 1948. As such, CSR is tightly integrated into our organisational structure: we take great care of the environment and the people around us.
Planet
At Bootsman the environment is always a factor of interest. Throughout our enterprise we strive to achieve the optimal combination of saving energy and keeping our CO₂ emissions as low as possible. This makes us keenly aware of our own production methods. For example, we have been separating waste for years and work with sustainably manufactured materials. What’s more, we work together with our suppliers and (local) authorities to invent new solutions for the future.
People
Looking at our customers and partners, we firmly believe sustainability is captured in three keywords: honesty, sincerity and trustworthiness. A man is only as good as his word. This was true in the old days and is still the case today. Our employees are loyal, well-trained professionals. As an employer, Engineering Bootsman contributes to maintaining a good and healthy work atmosphere as well as ensuring the employability of our staff.
Profit
Profit isn’t the be and end all. Bootsman sponsors several sports associations, schools, a children’s farm and Oxfam Novib’s microfinance programme.
